I've seen it, but I'm unable to spot a problem with your account. I'm new to being a vBulletin moderator though, so I may be missing something obvious.

To the best of my knowledge (and unless something has changed recently), you should be able to reply in threads created by others without confirming your email address. Other new members certainly have.

Have you tried (and failed) posting in multiple other threads or just one? If just one, which one is it?

Greetings new user!

You are experiencing a new feature, the New User Pilot Posting Program (NUPPP). This has been implemented to reduce the number of spam postings from unenlightened newbies (or NUPPPers as we call them here).

Your posts will be confined to this thread until you reach the minimum threshold of 500 posts and/or 250 Thanks, which ever comes first.

We look forward to your graduation day. Very soon we will follow up with the New User Graduation Announcement Program (NUGAP), where posts will be automagically added to a New User Announcement thread for all members to enjoy.

We appreciate your contribution to a spam-free posting experience!

Also soon to come: Spam thread reduction, especially targeting those started by new users.

No wonder Texrat has over 7k posts...

But, I similarly just recently registered and was trying to look for my signature edit link.. turned out I needed 5 posts before that appeared. Might be something similar here?
