can someone please post a step-by-step guide on how to use aircrack? I've searched every result on google but nothing is in good detail.
even http://406notacceptable.com/guides/a...k-on-the-n900/ doesn't really tell you what to do step by step.

    I need something like this:

    1. get root
    2. get into monitor mode by.....
    3.

I haven't yet looked into the N900 wireless specifics or the aircrack package for the N900, but this would be the first place to start:

    http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=simple_wep_crack

It isn't N900 specific, but should point you in the right direction. You might want to try this on a laptop using Backtrack first so you can familiarize yourself with the process and adjust it (if necessary) for the N900.

Has anyone managed to use packet injection on N900?

just to get you started cause airmon-ng is not supported and that is what most people on the backtrack forums go to first.

'sudo gainroot' or 'root' if you have rootsh installed
    ifconfig wlan0 down
    iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
    ifconfig wlan0 up
    airodump -w capture -c(whateverchannel you want) wlan0

i managed to get aircrack-ng working by installing debian os from repositories and after i installed aicrack by command line in it..it is really slow but i managed to get a handshake. Moreover airodump-ng is working as well so i suppose that there is a driver problem in maemo kernel. Does anyone have any idea how to solve it? it would be nice to have aircrack fully working..

Get root by installing rootsh from extras. Go into the terminal and type root. Now you are root.

For monitor mode, I gave the exact instructions: now you are root type

    fconfig wlan0 down

    press enter.

    iwconfig wlan0 mode Monitor

    press enter

    ifconfig wlan0 up

    press enter
