    Description
    We have an exciting summer internship opportunity within our Markets organization. If you are a talented individual with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn about our business, join us as an intern in our Irving, Texas office. Once onboard, you will be working on a variety of projects to support the Markets organization, which is responsible for ensuring the utilization of Nokia's broad product portfolio and driving targeted offerings to different channels. The Markets organization helps meet future growth opportunities by ensuring solutions selling and driving new channels. The Marketing Operations sub-unit is responsible for developing and executing world-class marketing activities that help Nokia to earn the position of the world's most loved and admired brand. It is responsible for all outbound marketing activities and drives traffic to both physical and online sales points.
    We are looking for someone with marketing zest and instincts, great messaging and communication skills, creativity and a critical eye for executing high-quality content marketing and recruitment activities.
    The main responsibilities of this position include:
    · Support the recruitment of developers into Ovi, Nokia's delivery system for services, apps, and entertainment, and Solutions by driving grass-roots recruitment efforts… including outreach to developer blogs, forums, recruitment events, Mobile Mondays, and others. Collaborate with U.S. and Canadian recruitment teams to accomplish multiple developer outreach needs.
    · Build SNAC. Landing Pages and XML feeds to be managed on blogs and social networking sites for developer outreach
    · Manage content approvals using our marketing data base of publishers(MarcoPolo) insuring that we use their required brand guidelines properly and that all marketing creative using 3rd parties has been approved, properly tracked and shared using this tool.
    · Manage marketing and logistics for national trade show events and roadshows to ensure optimal demonstrations of Nokia products and services.
    · Analyze application (apps) download data to identify top-performing apps and provide recommendations for prioritization
    · Promote Nokia's services and products to stakeholders, consumers and recruitment candidates using social networking sites, blogs, events, tweet ups, among other forums being our advocate and monitor.
    · Assist marketing teams in executing key content marketing activities around 2H2010 and 1H2011 solution launch and lifecycle. For example: Keeping content fresh and relevant in XML feeds for each region, identifying the top local apps for prioritization each week in the Ovi Store and communicating new content which should be considered in content marketing priorities lifecycle management.


    Qualifications

    Currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in Marketing or Communications.
    1-5 years experience in service marketing or operator marketing is a big plus.
    Strong interest and experience in using mobile application store is required.
    Proficient at using MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
    Flexible, eager to learn and work both independently and as part of a team.
    Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
    Excellent analytical and problem solving ability.
    Location
    This position is based in Irving, Dallas, the sister headquarters of Nokia.
