About to pull the trigger and buy the Nokia N900 on the £35 per month deal with vodafone (need the unlimited landline calls)

My network is setup so each computers MAC address is registered with the router - how do I get the MAC address out of the N900?

Open X-Terminal and run /sbin/ifconfig wlan0. It will be listed as HWaddr.

Easier: go to Settings -> About device
There you have your WLAN MAC, Bluetooth MAC, and your IMEI.

In all previous tablets it was also written on a sticker on the box, and it was displayed in Control panel -> About product.

Thanks for the replies - I am now all set to order this unit.

I don't have it yet, but understand it ships 1st Nov. Good enough for me. I will not miss my HTC-designed Ipaq which was the 1st smartphone out and nothing but trouble.
