Well we know wind will, they've already posted that they will support it. So the next step is to get the phone, and wait for wind to launch.

What's wrong with ordering from the US?

2-3 stores have been found that were shipping here... And even one in Canada but more expensive.
(we'll get raped by the customs/carriers but ...)

Expansys.ca has two available:
N900 for $730 (preorder, no ship date)
UK N900 for $785 (preorder, Nov 2 ship date)

I've dealt with Expansys before. They're expensive, but there's no border hassles nor are there any extra "brokerage" courier charges.

I can't believe they're not selling it for 600 CAD considering the price they have south...

Anyway, repeating myself, but MobileCityOnline gets you one N900 to Canada for 604.99$ USD shipping included... Best price I've found so far, even if i have to pay 100$ at the border!

So the next logical question is - what can we do to get around these import charges!

Anybody used them before, what is their situation regarding brokerage? They will ship to Canada?

If you can convince them to ship with USPS it'll be cheaper than FedEx or UPS...
But good luck, they ship with FedEx (still better than UPS) but didn't want to switch for me... maybe if you start harassing them all ;-)

This is so depressing, I'm down to buy this RIGHT NOW, and I can't.

It looks like MCO has a ship date of Nov 5... I just fear that you will have to pay $100 in duties, etc... I had to pay $20 for a device that was marked as a "gift" with a declared value of $100. I shudder to think what they'll do to a $630 device. 13% taxes alone will drive the price up to $712, plus whatever miscellaneous, bogus fees they decide to randomly apply to punish you for not buying locally...

Well, I'm looking forward to your report, R-R. I'm seriously hoping to hear good news from you... I have many people that I know in Canada who would like to get one of these devices.
