(and also the https variants). I get the error "Unable to add feed. Address invalid".
Also tried entering them into Opera, and get the popup to enter Username and Password, but as soon as it launches the RSS reader it's the same "Unable to add feed. Address invalid".
Inbuilt email client

Set up POP access on your Gmail account.
Set up a POP account on the 770 (take care, google uses 995 as the POP port, enable SSL)
Set up polling for email on the 770 email app (Tools -> Options)
Then you can at least go to the Contacts icon on the homepage (the green and red people) and see the latest messages in the drop-down. It's still not perfect for Gmail.
PS - Why is the text size in the email viewer not zoomable or definable in the font settings? Really defeats the point of having such a high-res screen for email... madness!
Gmailmon

The RSS reader homepage applet

Gmail Atom feeds do not seem to be compatible with the 770 RSS reader. I've tried the following URLs:
http://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom
http://username
(and also the https variants). I get the error "Unable to add feed. Address invalid".
Also tried entering them into Opera, and get the popup to enter Username and Password, but as soon as it launches the RSS reader it's the same "Unable to add feed. Address invalid".
