Is there any way to add a bluetooth phone audio headset profile to an N800?

This would allow the N800 to be your main audio device so you could make/take mobile phone calls through the N800 just like you can when you pair a GPS with your mobile phone.

This seems like it would be a great feature. I wonder why this function wasn't included.

I'd think it's possible. The other way works now -- my Plantronics headset pairs with the N810. The end result would be a Bluetooth speaker phone. Very sweet.

There's been various attempts, notably handsfree, but the connection to the sound subsystem fails, so it does not work. This is the best threadhttp://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=18868

It's a shame, and even Nokia PC suite-like functionality would be really great. Handsfree gives me much greater phone control than phonelink for example, but needs picking up, developing a bit more and maintaining for Maemo.
