So I installed Scumm via xTerm before I found the thread about the repository. It was working fine.. I fired up Full Throttle, and looked good.. but then I changed some of the video settings for Scumm.
Ever since then I've not been able to get it to launch.
It just quits back to the home screen.
I have uninstalled and re-installed a few times now, as well as rebooted in between.
I'm wondering if there is some pref file or something that is staying on the device even though I've uninstalled?
What would be the best way to fix this problem? Looking at the thread, it seems like others have similar issues.
I concluded that something must've remained active after I shut the Scummvm down (note: I shut it down from within the game, by pressing ctrl+M and choosing the quit option, not from the launch menu quit option, don't know if it matters)
I haven't seen it but I can imagine it could happen. Scummvm uses more threads internally so the UI may close and some runaway thread may still keep running. If this happens it is most probably bug in SDL, or maemo platform itself (e.g. sound subsystem).
Next time when this happens run 'top' in x terminal and see what is taking up most CPU time.
I also have a weird feeling that after installing Scummvm the battery lasts shorter even without running Scumm, but I do believe that's just in my mind
Just your mind. Unless scummvm is started there is nothing to slow system down.
I've run Day of the Tentacle now using /usr/games/scummvm in xterm and played it until it locked up. No error messages were returned, so no help there.
I'm using the game files from an original CD. I don't know if this is the same for the other users having problems.
I'm pretty sure this is the same problem i'm having. i also tried the same saved game with the same game files on the pc and the game did not crash like it does on the n900.
@fanoush, I have a daemon to poll the sensor (supports vibration feedback, stopping when the keyboard is blocked), which soon will be part of a daemon used for shortcuts.
You tell me how you would like to use it (i.e. what it should emit when ScummVM is running) and we will include that
sorry for being a bit off topic but could you make it to send a right click event when in dosbox please please please please?

Can you attach saved game here or put is somewhere on the net?
sorry for the noob question, but how do i put the games on the device? I have quite a few games i want to play such as larry, discworld and police quest but not quite sure how to put the games on!

Download any Dos Game and save this in your N900. Then open the application "Scummvm" and click the Add Game and then browse in your folders and find the game which you want to play!
EDIT: I would appreciate so much if someone could tell me when I can find the game "Monkey Island 1" to download. I can't find this anywhere
