Are you now saying the order will be coming directly from NOKIA, not D3LL?

True, but this is a pre-order price thus the regular prices are likely to go back up to whatever MSRP the n900 has (e.g. what Nokia is charging) and the discounts and deals will start from that pricepoint. Not the pre-order price points (basically a way to get people to commit to buying the product early instead of waiting).

No, sorry... I mean shipped from dell to us--not from Nokia's production to dell.

But nokia production will have to ship first to D3LL before D3LL can ship to us... How could D3LL ship to us without Nokia first shipping to D3LL?

I think what he's saying is that it's likely Nokia is shipping the phones to Dell right now or in the next couple days. As soon as Dell get's the phones they will ship them to us, the customers, which the Dell support guy claimed would be Nov 19th.

I wonder when we will see a date update? I am guessing as soon as Dell gets their allocation....

Perhaps we need to list who got their order at $520 and who did at $442 and see who's ships first? This will be interesting to se if they are micro managing the orders in these situations.

    Mine was @ 442+6% tax.
BTW, I checked my credit card today and the hold of $468.72 charge from D3LL was released. I checked my email to make sure my order was not canceled but there was nothing like that. Anybody else check his/her credit card lately.... is the charge there?

It's because by law VISA only allows companies to have a hold on your card for 10 days max. Once it's past 10 days then the hold drops. Instead of Dell putting another hold again, they will just charge you the full amount when the phone ships. So the next time you see it on your credit card...then that means it has shipped. I highly doubt they will place a hold again...it's only done the first time to make sure your card has the room for the amount charged.
