After almost 5 years of being in Vancouver I finally got my Canadian citizenship today. Ceremony before a judge and everything.

Totally, 110% off topic, but it's a big day for me today and I just wanted to share that

Congratulations!

I went to a friend's ceremony for becoming a British citizen about a year ago - it was lovely and fascinating. Seems strange changing citizenship. But I wish you nothing but well in your 'new' home. (Not really new, though).

Thanks! It's not really 'changing' citizenship though. I've been able to keep my other citizenships, which is nice. If i couldnt I probably would have just stayed as a permanent resident....

The whole affair is certainly a peculiar human social culture though, for sure.
