Not sure why - but recent updates have really killed the speed on wormux. I am lucky to get 3 - 10 frames a second now, down from 20+
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Try rebooting.
And since there seems to be more than 2 testers, please vote on the package QA page. See instructions from http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing

is the new 0.9 version of Wormux more playable fps wise?
