Na, didn't know any better and ordered from MFD on an 18 month contract in mid-oct. Thinking I might get mine by Jan at the earliest with the way things are going.
I ordered from play.com mid Oct, but cancelled on Tuesday when they changed release date to 31/12/09.
agreed i can see myself cancelling soon as i wanted a PRE ORDER that means BEFORE the general sale to the public whats the point of all this pre order stuff if your just gona get it same day as general sale i may wait till jan and see who offers it on better contract at this rate
I may do the same actually, one of the advantages is getting an unbranded phone but this is getting ridiculous now. Maybe the networks will offer better fair usage policies because of the phones capabilities

Honestly, I don't think there is a quick way. All the stock coming into the UK is pre-orders which some ppl have been waiting for since Sept. Let me know if you find a way tho
