I live in London - well, South East of... not really affected by strike backlogs. Spoke to my postman - all thye backlog is junk mail. They try to get everything else out on time. Anything Special and Recorded takes priority. I've had Play orders and plenty off Ebay and Amazon turn up normally the past week (inc my 16gb memory card for my N900!! Woo!). Already got a case for it sitting on my desk. I'm all good to go!
Mine will be shipped on Friday and arrive Saturday.

I'm sure you'll be in the same batch too - I think I only got a call, as I had a dodgy PAC, and they needed a new one. I doubt they're calling every person with a pre-order!
That said, it sounds like MPD post from your nearest Nokia Retail store so it could be that yours has stock but my nearest one does not. I certainly hope you are right though, would be wicked if it was actually delivered on Friday.
Makes me wonder now.
