Just so you know, I just got a call from MPD who asked me for a new PAC code because my previous one had expired. I had actually emailed them my new PAC code earlier today but, apparently, it hadn't entered the system yet. Anyway, on to the big news, the MPD person who called informed me that my phone would be dispatched tomorrow (Friday) and that it should be with me on Saturday! This means that they are actually doing Saturday deliveries!!!
My order was placed on the 7th of October...

I think we as MPD customers go through a few phases....
1) Ignorance
2) Acceptance
3) Denial
4) Acceptance again
5) Arrogance (Well some do!)
6) Denial Again
7) Enthusiasm
8) Acceptance / Orgasms (Depending on what mood you are in when you accept it form the postman!)
I thought I should mention that I too have bought phones in the past at insanely late times in the day and they still turned up first thing next day by Royal Mail Special Delivery. I think big contracts are able to ship a lot later than usual.
That said, I have just walked down to Sainsburys to get some milk and already that transaction is showing on my available balance but no N900 related amount is missing yet. I really would have expected them to have started billing people by now.
Big contracts can push and get a much later delivery, it wouldn't surprise me if MPD could go as late as 6-7pm. Even larger accounts like Dabs.com will fill a trailer on their own and have it trunked direct to the distribution hub rather than collected as per other companies. I wouldn't expect much news till after 6pm to be honest.
