Hey guys, hoping for some advice...I'm looking to port my number to a non-Voda PAYG sim, from my current Voda contract, then back again on a new Voda contract whenever the N900 is available in Nokia high street stores.
Question = what network would be best if I were to go into say an O2, Orange etc high street store, ask for a PAYG sim and port to it and then be QUICKEST to give me a PAC code to request porting from, back to Vodafone? Also, who does free ones? Obviously don't care about tariffs, I just want to use it as a stop-gap
3 sent my pac code 30 seconds after the call when i asked for it.
I was on contract though, not payg
Also "Pending Stock"
ordered 18th Nov so assuming this will change tomorrow.
I've been down to NFS on my way back home, they'll receive some 'limited' stock for walk-in customers tomorrow. Guy said that if I pre-ordered contract today in NFS, I'd be able to pick it up tomorrow. Oh, Vodafone contracts only.
Well, nobody did- and yes, they have been a pain in the butt, but as I said earlier (and in my opening post as it was pointed out), they DID say they would recieve stock on the 3rd and ship on the 4th- it was only rumour mongering and excitement that started other dates off and got everybody going.. just my 2p again
I got the email to say they will soon be out but my order status is still:
Status
New (Other)
Anyone still on this? I think most others say 'pending stock' or similar.
I'm guessing your order was for either sim free for pay as you go. MPD told me that for these there's no credit check like they do with contract so there's no interim Pending Stock status. It seems you're just held at New (Other) until it's despatched. That's if you believe MPD about anything anyway. Mine was ordered 28/10 and is also showing New (Other) if it makes you feel better.
