All of use who are active in this thread presumably don't have are n900's yet.
After looking at all these new threads about how buggy the n900 is, reboots, mic fault....ext
Are you not tempted to cancel your order with mpd............ i know i am
and wait till the next batch of n900's come, these bugs could be hardware who knows?

No- don't really see the point. There are plenty of people who have their devices who are more than pleased with them. Surely we may as well see whether the ones we're sent are woking first- if not, send them back. What is tere to lose after all this waiting?

True, just been getting a little worried lately.
Still looking forward to getting in, hopefully by next saturday

No, hardware faults are inevitable with any device, there is no such thing as a perfect manufacturing process, if mine is broken, its going back for a replacement unit.
As for the bugs - it to be expected, this device is bleeding edge, but the community will be on the bugs quicker than the standard fix of waiting for the manufacturer to release a patch - look at the droid forums, they have serious bugs at the moment.
If you want a rock solid device, buy something else, but if you want a cutting edge device and are willing to have a slightly bumpy road on the way - the the n900 is the right choice

I don't think it's actually that many people. None of the devs has reported anything unfixable. Some of the microphone issues seem to have ben solved by rebooting which suggests it's a software issue rather than hardware (which is no help at all to those who keep getting the problem after reboot).
There are more people disappointed because they expected n900 to be an upgrade from n97, when in fact it bears no relation to symbian at all, and is quite different. If that's what you're expecting, you might want to rethink. But I wouldn't let the few hardware issues put you off.
I emailed MPD to change ther tariff Id chosen. Only ordered last week - got this reply:
I’m afraid Sir that after looking into your order we are unable to change your tariff. We are hoping to have all N900 dispatched before the 5th DEC, allowing that Nokia give us the stock in time.
I hope this is ok.
Have now cancelled my order - If its gonna be the 5th I'll just reorder again, when I've seen that you lot get yours on or around the 5th. Just dont trust them anymore.
