...running into the same problem now; they realy need "faster machines" to solve that? Slow forum ("...need more servers..."), we can not test apps because of to slow servers (is a blocker!) - what is next? No firmware update because of to few servers?
What to hell Nokia - wake up guys... N900 was placed into the mass market not into a small community. Times did change with this device.
UPDATE: I did disable the "extra-devel" catalog, made an update of the remaining catalogs, enabled the "extra-devel" catalog again - and it worked.
As of this weekend, some repositories are down. People are aware of it and working hard to restore them. Anyone know of any alternative repositories to the extra-devel and such?

i have the same problem with the extra-devel, but am not told anything about the Hash thing, am getting a deferent msg in RED under the catalogue says: ((http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/dists/fremantle-1.2/free/binary-armel/packages 404 Not Found [IP:213.248.125.88.80] ))
usefull to say that all this happened after i updated my n900 to the new PR 1.2 that is been released recently by nokia...
i don't know if it's because of it, but all i know is that i can't access extras-devel some of my favorite progs. where removed ofcourse because of the update, i retained some of them but not all.
