I've seen some discussion on the Nokia support forum of the bh905 being incompatible with the n900. Again the issue is probably the Bluez stack, so maybe it's fixable.
The BT headset that I really want is the Lightspeed Zulu but it's about 2x as expensive as an N900 so my wallet isn't ready for it. The BH905 is an interesting concept and I hope the issues are worked out sooner or later, and that they make a version where the battery is replaceable. I'm not going to buy a $300 disposable headset.
PR1.3 still causes the BH-905 to crash..
the BH-905i, however, seem to work far better..
I've not had them crash yet... They also don't do that perculiar rate change in which the audio speeds up when the signal is interrupted...
i had a similar experience with my bh-905 headset but i dont think the bug is with the n900 but with the headset as the method to troubleshoot this very specific problem is addressed in the user guide that comes with the headset...just my 2 cent...it sucks on phone calls and crashes almost every time....its alright tho...u look silly having a conversation through over-the-ear headphones anyway
and i can confirm the same exact problems with my bh-504 headset (and the same troubleshooting in the manual as well) that i purchased alongside my n900 at the now defunct Nokia NYC Flagship store in 2009
