I am also stuck with Win 7 64 bit version, it doesn't work. Already disabled the signed-driver check, installed Virtual PC wit XP mode - still no chance. The program can't find the USB connected N900. Rather annoying, my N900 crashes about once per day, obviously browser related. Also the battery consumption is odd. Sometimes I get more than 10 hours out of a fresh charge, sometimes I have to recharge twice a day :<

I'd try Linux live, but CD writer is broken ATM and I never used Linux before, so that would be the very very last option for me.

Have you tried Nokia Software Updater (NSU) under compatibility mode or beta version of it from here

Hi
I've just tried to flash my N900 to the global firmware using XP mode on my win7, however the cmd prompt hangs at 'not found suitable usb device waiting' any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong and what to do to correct it? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I'm going to put my question in this thread, because it's as stupid as it is big probably. (not my intention to hijack your topic)

I'm having the same problems under Win7. So I made the LiveCD as mentioned in the wiki (ubuntu). So far so good, but I don't know squad about Linux.

When following the wiki on Linux flashing in the terminal I get: RX...bin: no such file or directory

What did I do wrong that it does not find the file. Is there a specific map I have to put it?

Thanks!
