Just wondering how you go about turning OFF all data connection (eg WiFi and 3G) without having to deactivate a screen/homepage?
For example, having the Facebook widgit and Weather widgit on the screens and also having regular Exchange downloads (say every hour)?

If I disconnect the WiFi and 3G (or change phone mode to 2G), eventually it will reconnect to either WiFi or 3G/2G data connections whilst out and about. This is fine when it's synching with Exchange, but surley it should then automatically disconnect itself from the data network?

Am I missing something?
This is all in the name of enhancing battery life, may I add!!!

I've asked for automatic disconnection after a finished session before but it doesn't seem to be available.

If you set your phone to 'always ask for connection' and turn the wifi-interval off, you shouldn't have this anymore, I hope.

Offline is fine but will switch the phone off so you wont be able to make or receive calls, just use the Maemo OS itself.
