im having a problem with my n900 and trying to determine if i need to send it back for another. there are many times (like right now) where im getting high cpu usage (to the point where the bar is blinking red with load applet)
. but the problem is i can have absolutely no programs running it will still be under high load. its pretty annoying because it can cause my web pages to render much slower and when scrolling i always get the checkered bar..which is unacceptable to me on a phone of this caliber (and price )
Is there anything im doing wrong? is there something wrong with my phone?
Also is it normal for the mp3 player to skip while web browsing?

I don't know if it's normal, but you're not alone. My CPU is jumping quite often too, and my MP3's skips when browsing also.

It's annoying, and drains the battery too.

annoying is an understatement..one time i put it on the charger while it was on high load with nothing on thinking it would clear itself up..took a nap and woke back up..phone was very hot and battery was lower than it was before i hooked it to the wall charger..

Go to terminal and type "top". If browsersd and or audiopulse are running, that is your problem. Both can hang and stay active even when apps are closed. Usually happens when Flash content fails to work (game) or some of the more aggressive Flash pop-up content.

I had the battery drain problem too and it was due because of this. No problems now, since if one does hang, I will reboot or enter "kill "****". The "****" being the offended process/es.

Open a web page make it smaller, sou you will have options on top. It says web or a web page name. Click on it, choose options and than clear private data

I got the same thing (to the point that all the interface gets super laggy), but it starts getting slow after a reboot and then if i reboot again it usually goes away and is fine all along...

People were saying in some other thread that increasing the browser cache to 40MB is helping the speed but if that's the cause (Just wondering?) I'll put it back to 5 ! :P
