* Files goes to /opt/qtirreco, optified and moved to user/utilities section.
* You can go back after selected remote in download remote dialog if you selected the wrong one by closing add buttons dialog.
* Problem with device file to have different name than remote command name fixed. Prolly fixes many remotes to work.
* Put some extra functions in qtirreco class to fix old user remotes paths and sets lircpaths to config.
Those will be taken off later, when users probably have fixed configs.
* Cleared database due to invalid remote configs, bug fixed.
* Remote with background has some problems, changes background to default. Will be fixed later.
* Some issues when having multiple different device buttons, booting app works sometimes.
Please send feedback when tried new package.
Also if you have not working lirc device files under /opt/qtirreco/Device try downloading them again after deleting them manually with command rm /opt/qtirreco/Devices/<filename> or in application: Edit remote-> New button-> Add -> Delete remote.
I used this after checking out some youtube videos and remembering the good old days of using my Palm to control my TV(A Westinghouse 32" HDTV). I'm a new n900 owner and I've got to say I'm impressed with the overall quality of the apps and this is no exception. This app is flexible and simple. I was able to turn the channel and volume up or down. My only request thus far would be the sizing of the buttons. I may have overlooked the function, but most setups would require more buttons than I can fit on the screen( or switch remotes a whole lot). That would be a great option. I will attempt to upload(or look up) the LIRC remote of a Pioneer car stereo head and see how that turns out as well. Streaming PyPianobar through stereo Bluetooth(on my car's stereo) and being able to control my stereo from one device would be a dream.
thanks! 0.2.3-1 fixes the crashes that i'd been seeing.
one question though - when you download a new remote, it lets you "select buttons for remote". i don't really want to select buttons! i just want the buttons that are on the manufacturer's remote, no more, no less.

Hmm, maybe with that UI space i could make one button to that dialog with "select all buttons" function which moves all buttons to selected buttons list. Then you can press to use default or custom theme.

I will look into that, it would be pretty awesome to have option to resize buttons.
