I have just installed QtIrreco from extras and I cannot see anything under download remote or db but I can only see blank screen as published earlier by Chadim
I have almost never installed anything apart from Extras. I wonder if this is a conflict between two applications??

Finally! Someone having the same problem.
I have tried everything, from purging lirc and qtirreco to uninstaling from app manager... no success.
Will wait for the new version after PR1.2 is released, let's see if it solves the problem (unless the author wants to add something).
there is a bug with the database of the remote became currupt after adding more than 6remotes. Then the app stopped firing the infrared port, it's not clear if the remote database on the server is currupted online or while adding it to the app. But remove the qtirreco folder inside the MyDocs fixed it. Took me 5hours of testing to make sure it's the case.
I have tried a couple of quick fix like uninstalling and re-installing, deleting the Qtirreco folder in MyDocs, changing from Wifi to 3g connection...etc... but without success for the moment, I cannot do anything with the application
Hope that PR1.2 and the QtIrreco update will correct for this!??

I did try removing that folder after purging qtirreco and lirc. Still fails.
the receiver i want to control (a zehnder dx1700) isnt listed in the online-database, so i thought i create it myself.
also, i downloaded a skymaster-remote-scheme to test if this program works. strangely, qtirreco controls my philips-tv with the skymaster-remote-setup instead of the skymaster-receiver itself. why is that?
so glad this has made it to extras! finally i can confuse ppl by changing the channel with my phone, let the japery commence! only problem is that none of my stuff works, foehn & hirsch tv, virgin cable box???
