Did any one managed to access www.wix.com. Its fully running with flash.
Previously I managed to access those site using pr1.2 but after upgrade with pr1.3 and using tweak flash still can't access to www.wix.com but managed to play video on facebook no issue.
yes thats right, flash 10.1 doesnt have any new technology, its only a gimmick.
and ppl say only the iphone boards have idiots....
[EDIT]To addition to the sarcasm above I can only add[/EDIT]
Flash 10.1 gave us Flash Devs a lot. Has been build especially for mobile devices:
Build from the ground up – completely redesigned and optimized for mobile resulting in improved performance and battery performance Support for accelerometer – Flash content can be viewed in landscape and
portrait orientations Smart Zooming – Scalable content (including full screen mode) Smart Rendering – Flash 10.1 will ensure content is running only when it becomes visible on the
screen to reduce CPU load and further reduce impacts on battery life. Sleep Mode – for further battery life improvements Advanced Out-of-Memory Management Access to GPS data Access to camera Mobile Gestures Double tap, pinch to zoom, etc. Multi Touch Support
And a lot more here...
But to addition to that 10.1 can support Alchemy op-codes that is nothing else like power of native C++ close to native speed as well. Being use for Memory management, Object pooling techniques, Sorting processing, compressing algorithms and many more processor intensive things. Beside the Alchemy there is Azoth and haXe open source implementation of this solution.
Not even mention that flash 10.1 is also opening doors for brand new flash player (code name molehill) with Full 3D GPU acceleration and full HD video improvements... And guess what... this 3D GPU acceleration is about the level of low spec OnenGL .. mobile devices?
woah some angry people here, hey isnt there a way for us to hack flash into our n900? if everyone hush hush about it tho, i mean we have very skilled people here so why not try?????
I suspect if Nokia wanted it on the N900, it would have been released by now at least in beta. I think it will have to be a community effort if it is going to happen.
Also thanks to devu for the list of goodies in 10.1, but does it all have to be implemented at once ? Most of us just want to play BBC iPlayer and similar streams.
