    Hi madhu.infos,

the gui is english and a german translation is available.

The main backend is bahn.de which provides a very good coverage of germany and a mid to good coverage of trains in whole europe.

There is also a Swiss backend and support for Australia (New South Wales only)

For what country do you want to use it? I evaluated Amtrak a whileago but i don't know if there is demand for it.

I just updated to 0.0.25, i added a new sbb interface and support for rejseplanen.dk and öbb.

So we have denmark, swiss and austria

All three interfaces uses the hafasxml interface.

Can you also add other states?
For example, for Italy these web sites are:
mobile version (Italian, English and German languages)
    http://mobile.viaggiatreno.it/viaggi...azione?lang=IT

Would Melbourne, Australia be difficult to implement? The link to the site that manages journey planning is:

    http://www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au/
    and
    http://jp.metlinkmelbourne.com.au/me..._view=advanced

Is there some ground work that I could do to make it any easier?

I am an occasional user of fahrplan (SBB backend) and am very pleased how it is working now!
In one of the first posts it was mentioned that German translation is available, how ever my version is only in English (0.0.25)

I would be willing to help translating!
I already made my (Python app) SleepAnalyser multilingual, so I have a bit of experience.

would be VMS germany possible to add?
    http://www.vms-aktuell.de/vmsMobile/...ST?language=de

i guess to customize the data sources is not possible because of different standards?

    cheers

the website of sbb.ch has been changed recently. I think due to that, the fahrplan does not work any more for swiss transport.

    please update it if possible.

    thanks a lot
