The 2009 Snapdragon family consists of one higher clocked stand-alone processor, while the N900's OMAP SoC includes a CPU/GPU/DSP combo. For calculations they're about equal, while the Snappy is obviously inferior for gaming and such. Remember that the DSP (digital signal processor) loads off the N900's main CPU (Cortex A8), while the Snap has to do everything by itself.

1. Less parts and design issues to consider
2. Less things to fail
3. A lot of consumers think KB-free is "cool and sleek" looking- Just look at the Nexus as an example.
4. A secondary thing is less traffic for game emulators to bother with legal issues. This one is a stretch, but worth considering. Touch screen old school emulators suck for playability.
The trend is heading to KBless devices. Unless sales begin to lag, expect the trend to continue.
If I were the Overlord of the earth, I would ban KB-free devices, or at least make an add-on possible. Designers would walk the plank if not
