I feel that the swipe should take you back to the previous page, and the arrow should bring up the history if you want to move back more than one page. My other gripe is that when it goes back to a previous page, it reloads the whole page again. Does this browser not cache the pages you visit?

I do agree that it is a waste having both available and do the same thing on the touch UI.
