    I just uploaded the Wlan tool which will help configuring PAP support. The support is hidden in PR 1.2 so you need this application to enable it.

    Install the app, run it and enable the EAP/PAP. Now you will be able to configure PAP Wifi access points.

    Thanks!

    As a side note, after enabling EAP/PAP using the tool, you may uninstall the program. It will still have the EAP/PAP option enabled.

    To anyone who is curious, this app was written by a Nokia employee and it is referenced in this Maemo bugzilla listing:

    Now if anyone knows how to get my N900 to auto-connect to WPA-Enterprise WLAN's that would be perfect. I don't have a lot of hope, though. Apparently NOT being able to auto-connect is a "feature" not a bug:

    Anybody knows why an external and unofficial app is needed to enable a new feature announced for PR1.2?

    I would also like to know why it takes this unofficial app to make this work when it is in the release notes for PR 1.2 as fixed. It appears Nokia added the backend code to handle this but never add the GUI piece to make it fully available. There is supposed to be a gconftool command to modify an existing EAP connection that is using TTLS/MSCHAPv2 to use TTLS/PAP but I could not get it to work until I used this app.

    Our university uses eduroam with an outer anonymous identity and a specific identity regarding which username you've got.

    I've used the tool supplied by Janne Ylälehto (Big Thanks!) and enabled TTLS/PAP.
    But how should I translate this wpa_supplicant.conf to the maemo settings?

    Code:
    network={
        ssid="eduroam"
        scan_ssid=1
        key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
        eap=TTLS
        identity="LOGINID@domain"
        anonymous_identity="anonymous@domain"
        password="PASSWORD"
        ca_cert="/etc/cert/deutsche-telekom-root-ca-2.pem"
        phase2="auth=PAP"
        proto=RSN WPA
        mode=0
        pairwise=CCMP TKIP
        group=CCMP TKIP
    }
    LOGINID is paired with a user chosen password and anonymous is an outer identity.
    Any clues on how to get this running? TIA

    Ok this works by using anonymous@domain as "manual user name" via the extended connection settings and the login creditals as regular creditals.
