hey-ho,

i have an n900 on t-mobile in rural wales, and i usually have pretty good 2G signal (no 3G) but now there is none.

it could be the bad weather has knocked out the nearby repeater station, but is there anyway to confirm that on the phone?

everything else works fine, but there is simply no signal strength bar or 2G symbol.

i ask only in case i have mistakenly disabled the phone radio, and i know there is a button that will do that, but i can't find how to do so, and i though its disabled all radios anyway and the wifi works fine......

any help appreciated.

Check that the SIM card is seated properly?

Might need a new SIM card?

Call T-mobile (from another phone, duh!) and ask them. They are pretty good about telling you if part of their network is down.

Insert another SIM card from a different carrier if you have one handy and see if it works on that SIM card. Or, insert the SIM card into another cell, and see if you get signal. If you do, it's your 900. If you don't, it's the SIM card. They do go bad now and then.
