I have my n770 in for repair over a month now, and after I called them yesterday, they offer me a refund. And for some reason, I felt like they won't offer me a full refund, hence they told me that they will call me w/ the amount. I paid for mine $360 b4 tax&s/h, If it's less than $320, I probably will tell them I won't accept the refund and have them ship out a replacement. In the mean time, if I do get a full refund, should I get n800 or Sharp Zaurus? I only have 2 major concern WSOD, which n770 is prone of, but unsure about n800 and the US warranty, which Sharp Zaurus doesn't have.
I know that some of you have been in the same predicament as I have, or some might have more useful info.
Please show me the noble path.

The wsod was a major problem that Nokia was fully aware of, I'd be shock if the N800 had the same problem and if it does then I wouldn't recommend any Nokia product this point going forward! Otherwise I'd go with the N800. I think a lot of flack the N800 has gotten here isn't really so much with the product but the fact the the 2007 OS isn't compatible with the 770 which is a major blunder on Nokia's behalf, but holding out hope that Nokia will address this issue.

I have a zaurus 3200, 770 and 800 sitting here. I have not used the zaurus in about a year now. I actually sold my first 770 to buy the zaurus, then ended up buying a second 770 a few months later. The keyboard is a nice feature as is the compactflash, but the device is just too slow to be usable, even with replacement ROM, stripped down firefox, etc. Painful would be my best description.

The 800 is a lot better than the 770 in terms of responsiveness, screen quality, etc. Some do not like the design but if you hold the 770 in your hand for a long period of time the corners start to dig into your palm. For this reason alone I like the 800. Hard and soft-cases are just around the corner, I am sure (Nokia already has a magnetic-catch hard cover for sale).

I was offered a full refund since I didn't have a receipt. Just FYI.

WT???, now, that's lame. Why do ya have to rub it in. I just made a phone call w/ them, and they told me I gonna get something like $340-$350 back.

BTW, mr. konfoo. There is something I didn't quite get it. The sharp Zaurus 3200 have the 412MHz CPU, 266MHz for 770, same CPU Intel Xscale PXA 270, why did you say it's slower. there are quite a few spot that I do understand, like it's using the generic distro that aren't neccessary optimize for this unit. And the 3200 have built in MicroDrive, which is a bit slower, or it could be the bus design. I just look around the N800 and it seem like a very good built. On the other hand, n800 use TI Omap 2420 320MHz. I'm not sure how those 2 are compared interm of raw power. You guys have any info on that.

BTW, I have to compliment Nokia for dual SD slots, it make the unit much more useful. The fact that it allow a full SD card alone made it much better.
