    Autorotate seems to work for me. I tested it with Feedingit, the rss program, and it promptly reshaped itself into portrait when I turned the phone appropriately.

    It looks to me like you didn't run the program from within the Zimage directory, or you improperly capitalized Zimage when it should be lower case. You have Zimage as the name of a directory, but the file starts with zimage, not capitalized.

    At least, that's my guess.

    i have just rebooted the phone, autorotate works! overall no problems with 900mhz for two days now!!

    Is there a way of restoring this info without a full reflash?
    I managed to restore mine. It was
    apt-get install --reinstall mp-fremantle-generic-pr
    followed by a reboot.

    Edit: it might also be mp-fremantle-003-pr or something else depending on your firmware variant
