Before the update i couldnt acces files from my computer, so I used ORB (orb.com) to get to the files from my computer. It worked really great.

Now after the update i can acces the files without using orb, but I'm having the same problem as the people here. It does stream audio, but no video...even when I use orb.

Is there anyway to get this working?

Only audio, no video. Most videos seem to be affected by this. Extra devel codecs won't do any good either.

I have had some time since my first post this morning to sort out which video formats still stream and which are broken after this morning's update (PR1.1 51.1).

The streaming of video types ASF/wmv, AVI-Motion JPEG, MP4-MPEG-4 has not changed since the update.

Attempts to stream AVI with codecs DivX or XviD freeze video on first frame (or no video steam at all). Audio stream unchanged. Prior to today's firmware update 51.1 there was no problem with streaming DivX and XviD video to the N900.

If the same DivX and XviD AVI's are copied onto to the N900 and played directly with the N900 Media player (not streamed over WiFi) they play without any problem?

Glad to see a bug report has been filed - now what?

after update, my N900 media player didnt work anymore. I have tried opening all videos that worked perfectly before and now they're all crashed. Media player shows the loading bar and then the control buttons but when i click play button nothing happens.
    anyone has the same problem?

Has someone with more knowledge of how the system works posted a bug about this? I guess there are enough instances for it not to be localised/unique.

    Hi!
I am not able to open rtsp streams (3gp, h264) since PR1.1.
The media player says "Keine Verbindung zu Server" = "no connection to server". Before the update i was able to watch these internet-tv streams (provided by hutchison) with maemo-devel/testing codecs.
Is that the same problem than yours?

Does it help to get this sort of thing fixed if there are more votes for this bug?
