Development Platform

SDK content and tools updated.
SDK GUI installer updated.
New sharing-dialog-dev package added to enable Bluetooth and email sending.
New wappushd-dev package documenting MMS interfaces available.
does this mean MMS can be later packaged with the core OS not needing a separate app? handling of mms through conversation?

Mine rebooted within minutes of the second update. Was browsing in portrait mode at the time. No big deal I guess. At least it flashed ok.

It's a 1.1 update, not a 2.0 update. It seems to be at least - if you look at it this way - continued support for your platform of choice in a rather quick method based off of this communities findings, grievances and wishes.

It's a step, but to be honest, this is an open-source OS that ultimately this community has a direct line to enhancing, fixing or bringing to Nokia's attention what is missing. Instead of rank complaints - which are also useful - why not complain and show how you've reproduced a problem or produce evidence of how you're missing something.

Scarily enough... it actually works around here. And that's starting to sell me more on the Maemo 5 platform.

I agree, the update fixed a lot of little annoyances not to mention speed bump. If I were to select a single most useful fix it would be the option to call back the exact number on the call log, pretty basic thing someone forgot, the problem really became visible when I merged every little info for each contact. Now all we have to do is wait/pray for portrait support in conversations. I personally don't need full portrait support.
