/usr/lib/libhildon-im-vkbrenderer.so.3 is NOT a file, it doesn't have to be copied!
/usr/lib/libhildon-im-vkbrenderer.so.3.0.2 has to be symlinked to the filename above!
/usr/lib/libhildon-im-western-plugin-common.so.3 is NOT a file
/usr/lib/libhildon-im-western-plugin-common.so.3.0.8 has to be symlinked to the filename above.
Now that I did that it works!
Would be awesome if you guys figure out how to retain the PR1.1.1 keyboard (I never use the gestures, the pseudo-multitouch functions are nicer for me) on PR1.2 -- it's the only thing holding me back. Let me know if you want any files from PR1.1.1, since I haven't flashed yet. Might save you the time unpacking firmware images...
The logical solution is to keep the same files from pr1.1 (I do have them - backed up from the first time I tried the hack, but you have to try them.) Go to the first post, save all the files listed there, update your phone and paste them back, it should work. Or wait till tomorrow for me or daperl to try the pr1.0 files. If they work there is very good chance the pr1.1 will also work.

aaah...wish i can follow this clearly..but im so noob in linux system..seems that only advanced users can make this..how about the non ones
hope some of you guys figure a simple way to revert back to the old vkb..i really need it, so as many ppl do.
