I'm trying to uninstall/remove the Adblock Plus 1.0.2 from my N900.

I've uninstalled it through the Appmanager and it seemed to work. But - it is still present in the Microb's extension list. Trying to remove it from there by clicking 'Uninstall' results in a prompt to restart the browser. No matter how many times you restart the browser or the device it's still there.

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of it completely?

In similar situation I closed all the browser windows, deleted the folder /home/user/.mozilla/microb and started the browser again (the folder is recreated). You will lose browser history, cookies, installed SSL certificates and saved forms / passwords but not your bookmarks (since they are in a different folder). The adblock should be gone.

That's what I read somewhere too but was too much of a wimp to try it. Thanks for the info.

UPDATE:
Tried that. Not working - Adblock Plus still shows up in the Microb's extensions list.

More ideas?

Did you delete all subfolders (or at least the one named adblockplus) under ~/.mozilla/microb and not just files in it?

I actually renamed the whole folder ~/.mozilla/microb into ~/.mozilla/microb-2 .

BUT then I realized I hadn't _rebooted_ After the almighty reboot the Adblock Plus is finally gone. Yay!

Thanks to all trying to help.
