@danielo5:
Download the .tar.gz version of the flasher tool. It's for Slackware and other Linux x86-distros that aren't .deb-based. Presumably you know how to install a .tar.gz file on Slackware, but if you don't it's as simple as 'tar maemo_flasher-3.5_2.5.2.2.tar.gz'.
Then follow the instructions on the wiki link. If you follow certain links there you'll find the flasher tool too. At one point you have to provide a code, that's the IMEI code of your device (just the digits).
thx I`ll try but for now (sadly) I`ll use the windows version... I`ll try to deal witk the linux version later...
I'm sure I saw another thread where something like that was mentioned. I just read the thread title though. Try looking around to see if you can find the thread.
OMG, I`ve flashed my phone and then I found that it dont see my sim card what do you think happened??!!??!! help plz
Which image did you flash with? If you used the 44-1 image (and have previously had a more recent version installed) then you will lose support for the SIM card (as the GSM chip firmware installed by the newer version is not compatible with the old software).
OK, how do i get it back to normal?? Right now i dont realy care about the latest i just need my phone to work....
s.o.s plz help....;(
That depends which image you flashed with.
If you didn't use the latest one before, then either update via WLAN, or reflash it with the latest firmware - that's the one labelled (in the Notes field) as Latest and that's for your region. If you're in the UK and don't have WLAN access, you'll have to flash it with the global firmware for now (as there's no recent UK firmware up there).
If you have already flashed with the latest firmware, try reflashing both the eMMC and firmware.
i need help having problems with n900 trying to keep an open mind right now
trying to reflash the phone saw a guide follwoed it but only got this from flasher
