yeah it's checking even if the app is closed. you will get a notification that you can click and that would open the email in cause or take you to the inbox if you have more than one new mail (opens email app automatically when clicking the notification).

I have a question.
Ive setup my yahoo account in the email app. Itwill check every 15 mins when on wireless.
My question is.. Will it still check when the apps closed? or do i have to have it constantly minimised?
IE:
It will notify me of a new mail and then i can open the app?
