Does Nokia charge for this in addition to whatever rate / data plans you may have already in place? After the trial period, that is.

In the UK -not yet as far as I know.

It's basically a case of the free trial extending until Nokia decide to charge for it or turn off the service.

Could be forever. Could be within the next few minutes.

I'm willing to risk it for the moment as there isn't really suitable alternative with the N900 and Gmail yet (as far as I can tell).

I have no use at all for Nokia Messaging, but just knowing how it works for the average user would be interesting - maybe I'll just try to set it up when I come home and see what happens. According to the press release, there should be a €5/month fee, but there's no way I could actually order it from my carriers website. They would need to intercept my registration @ email.nokia.com to get my money.
i didnt realize there was anything to understand. Its nokias push email service known as nokia messaging where by u can have upto 10 emails setup at the same time. http://email.nokia.com

try it out. i started using it in e71 and have not looked back. Its a life saver

I've noticed the problem that emails I write on the phone don't always get sent.

Does anyone have this problem and is it Nokia Messaging specific or is it a general issue?

i simply fail to understand how can sim block a name from email service providers list which can either be hard coded or populated through server.

does anyone know how email services provider list is populated??

i did try couple of different sims in my cellphone, everyone one of them showed the whole list.

It can be a good thing for people who don't need unlimited data plan.

Some operators provide email, Nokia Messaging, as a separate service at a lower price than data plan.
So, if you only need email but not web browsing, you can sign up the email package, so any access to use Nokia Messaging is included but any acccess to Internet will be billed by data usage.
If the operator doesn't provide this option, the user can only access email by paying more for the data plan.

I just received an email saying my Nokia Messaging trial expires tomorrow. I bought my N900 from MPD on a T-Mobile contract. Any ideas how I can go about using this service after tomorrow?

Thanks
