Hi community,

I dint found anything about that Problem
in the internet, so i post this here.

Seems like i have a heavy hardware issu on my 2week old n900.
Noticed yesterday that the screen seemed bright, as i take a close
look i noticed Grafik-like Artefacts.
Tryed to restard and took the battery out for couple of minutes
but that dint help.
The screenshots taken with the device are clean on a pc.
Also the tv out signal is clean.
So i am sadly shure thats an hardware issue with the display
itself.

sw ver.: 2.2009.51-1
hw ver.: 356938/03/xxxxxx/x

Screenshots comin later, have no cam atm.

Anyone of you heard of that issue?

Im at hollydays atm, so will probably sent it back week after next
week

instead of taking pics with a camera, download the applet in the app manager to take screenshots directly from the n900, and upload those here

Yes, take screencaps and post those rather than photos of your screen.

Whatever issue your screen has is exacerbated by the moire effect.

Seems like he already took a screenshot on the device, and it came out fine when viewed on a computer.

as i wrote before, the screen caps with the device,
(press ctrl+shift+p, without any app was clean.

And those things have nothing to do with the moire effekt.
I see those the same as you see at the picture.
Also take a look at the last picture, the darker line to left
and the timebar of the movie (blue)

for sure it's a hardware problem... I hope you'll get a replacement soon

yes if i send it back hope they send a new soon back, just startet
to have fun with it, finding cool new apps here and surf and skype
with it kross fingers for video on skype

So it seems im the first one with this issue.
Just see one here with a total black out from first day.
Hope it stays with only one with my problem.

I had to reflash it to remove all my personal settings/data, or?
