On my N900, when the keyboard's lights are on, the keys in the middle of the keyboard (T, Y, G, H, B, N) seem to be slightly less bright than the ones on the edges (Q, A, Z, arrows key, enter key...) as if the light behind them was a little bit weaker (I hope that what I describe makes sense).

Is it something I should worry about? How does it look on your keyboards?

It's a detail, but I'd like to make sure that my unit is not faulty.

Thanks a lot.

at normal light around me the keys all look same.
when in a dark place the middle keys seems little darker.
had see that on a screenshot somewere much darker, so
we should keep an eye on that if it gets wors later.

Thanks a lot for your replies. I will not worry about this anymore but keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get worst.

It is a bit darker but not too much, most likely the bulbs are at the edges and reflected to the centre so don't show as much light

I bet that's the reason. But I would just like to point out that it might be also an impression caused by the fact that the fovea has a worse sensitivity than the rest of the retina in the dark!...
