This may be a noob question, but where is the MyDocs folder?

Im trying to install a .deb file, so I downloaded it on my PC, and moved it to the root of the N900 as a mass storage device. But its not in MyDocs?

The root of the N900, where you moved it.
That's MyDocs.

If you go to xterm and type
Code:
sudo gainroot
ls MyDocs/
your .deb file will be displayed there

Its not there. I just created a folder called battery and its not visible in any file manager or even in xterm...

Its created in Root. So E > Nokia N900 > Battery

How and where did you create it, if a file manager can't find it? If it is outside /home/user you can't get to it with the default file manager.

I figured it out. When the USB is plugged in, you cant see any folders in MyDocs for some reason

could it be that there would be a logical explanation?

this is just a crazy theory, but what if the mydocs can be seen with your computer, my computer -> n900 ?!?

I've seen it in my dreams.

Yes, when plugged in with USB (in mass storage mode) /home/user/MyDocs is unmounted on the phone and made available to the computer instead.
