Hmm...Someone grinded in one thread micro usb:s connectors "hooks" off and said that after that the chargers connector slides in and off very easily. Just an idea for self made Docking station
I think someone could make a lot of money by creating and selling an aftermarket back/extended battery for the N900. What I would want to see in such a product:
-better integrated stand than offered by official back with multiple snap-to viewing angles. Should be steady enough for unsupported use on a desk with stylus.
-Should address the camera haze issue caused by the official back.
-Charging contact points to allow charging with a desktop cradle which would come with the product. This would greatly reduce the prevalence of micro-usb connector breakage which Nokia doesn't seem to want to officially acknowledge & address.
I would be willing to pay $80-100 for such a product. Anyone with the expertise/contacts to make it happen?
I'm also looking for that. But not a docking station just for charging. I'm looking for a docking station that lets use the n900 as a desktop computer when arrive at home: conected to TFT screen, keyboard and mouse, speakers, power...
Just with the video/audio cable included in the box and a bluetooth keyboard/mouse will have this achieved, but with a combo of cables.
I remember that 3 years ago, in N95 times there was a Nokia bluetooth keyboard (then I haven't bought it because n95 hasn't the PC features that n900 has). I wonder if there's something similar for the N900.
PS.: it will be also great that phone screen could be disabled to prevent the n900 to become overheated while in intense use with a large screen.
