Hi All

I am having major issues getting google calendars to sync.

Setup exchange via these instructions:

Calendar AND contacts sync settings can be created by:

1st Open settings menu.

2nd Open "Email for Exchange" submenu.

3rd Filling in the fields as:

a. Server: m.google.com

b. Port: 443

c. Secure connection: check yes

d. Conflict resolution: your choice

e. User name: joe.blow@gmail.com

f. Password: your password

g. Domain: leave blank

h. Synchronize e-mail: leave unchecked.

i. Synchronize calendar and tasks: check yes.

k. Calendar: N900 (to populate existing calendar) or create a new one

j. Synchronize calendar back: your choice

k. Synchronize completed tasks: your choice

l. Synchronize contacts: check yes

m. First synchronization: your choice

Did a full sync. No errors. Contacts came across but not my calendar. Changed calendar from N900 to a new one. Did a full resync, same issue. Cleared settings, re-setup - same issue.

Any ideas?

Funny, I had the exact opposite. Contacts wouldn't sync, but the calendar works fine. xD

I began receiving errors after latest update, both calendar and contacts would not sync. I also have the above settings and also deleted by calendar and re-synced but was still getting errors. For me, since I already had all my contacts in my N900, I unchecked the "synchronize contacts" box and calendar now seems to sync with no problems at all.

Same as goose2212.

But for me calendar syncing works for a while, then stops working until I do a "full resync".

Syncing with Google drives me mad. First, it worked about once a day. Then, after the OS update of january, it worked fine for a few weeks, and suddenly, without me changing anything, poof! Could not connect with server at all... That situation is during a week now and I am really worrying about the backlog of data that is not in sync.

BTW: I only sync calendar...

googles exchange isn't exchange 2003, 2007, etc. so there is no official support and nobody guarantees that it works. it might work or it might not.

Those with failed contacts/calendar sync, can you specify your gmail?

ie @gmail.com or @googlemail.com
