to all the new guys following links to this thread from other forums just to request boot videos
1. to PM you click the users name and choose send PM
2. go to the forum control panel, edit options, and tick 'enable private messaging'

Well, having requested and received three great videos from Leetut and applied them using the explanation from Corto (this thread I think) I have managed to apply them to my n900!

Testament to community spirit and clear guidance particularly since I have no experience of altering boot files etc.
