I just wanted to chime in and say I think the Testing Squad is awesome and have been doing a great job .

They just seem to be taking their time finding their way to my apps .

And that actually brings up a good point: prioritization needs to be blindly agnostic, and designed around solid, repeatable attributes...

This is true.. I've actually been wondering lately what the criteria actually *is* in selecting the weekly testing??

I notice noobmonkey has already been tested.. but mine has been in testing longer than his has existed...

For the last little while I've been nervous saying anything wondering if I missed a thread somewhere I was supposed to post my app for testing.. but everything I kept reading just says they are going through the whole queue.

    So.. what's the determining factors?

Oldest first, nothing else. This week we reached the first package of the GPE suite.

Of course that testers are free to test any app in testing at any time.

I have some discomfort with such a simple criteria... I'd prefer that have some more context wrapped around it.

"Oldest first" can miss some tasty low-hanging fruit.

    EDIT: an applicable anecdote-- http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...9&postcount=32

Tasty fruits generally don't need the testing squad votes, although some very active testers will pick them in advance
