Try next steps on windows 7:
    1. Unload PC Suite from memory
    2. remove all from dir
    C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Nokia\PCSync\SynchData
    3. Run last version of PC Suite.
    4. Connect N900 in PC Suite mode
    5. Look to \My Computer\N900 (PC-Suite Mode)\Data dir (see you file qf?)
    6. Run Map Loader

FWIW, the downloadable USA map set has 50 states plus Puerto Rico, but no District of Columbia. Is DC part of Maryland for Maps purposes?

I've noticed that I can now get a GPS lock pretty quickly (<1min) without a data connection after updating with the map loader. Anyone else notice this?

I did this, but it keeps telling me waiting for phone !!

    OS: Windows 7 x64

When in mass storage it says one or more device is connected in mass storage mode, use PC suite mode !!

    What am I doing wrong?

Nothing... the program is Crap (with a capitaI "C" ). I gave it up a while ago because of the time waisted and loaded the maps manually.
