I read here that remail (for iphone) which was bought by google has gone open source with apache license:

Anyone think this can be ported without to much trouble?

It would great with a good alternative email client!

Damn....that app looks so nice and fast :| Me want it if it really works.

One thing the N900 is crying out is for a decent Email client imo. So hoping people can help here.
