colla84: you can use any psx bios, just rename to scph1001.bin. If something is slowly try to increase cycles\frameskip, sound is crappy in many games
in others emulators only frameskip you can change, but i try but not has good speed the sound isn't good enough
btw i try 1150 Mhz too but no apprezzable speed... so try psx4m now after download the bios.
edit: have some wrong in the upload the roms.... i have create a folder in mydocs/psx for put my roms... so, I open xterminal then i make this command...
psx4m -runcd 'filename'
system say error loading!

You can't it's a hardware limitation
Perhaps let's wait for some 512mb GPU and hopefully we could get ps2 to run @ 10 to 20fps
colla84:average settings is OC to 900Mhz,cycle to 3,frameskip to auto, look at homepage: compatible list , also gui save per game settings so you can find it by yourself and post at homepage for others (there just one man who really append new entries to compatible list, big respect for this work to him(according to page counters and 4F annotates) )

i think that i should make psx4m running without bugs and OC, using HW acceleration and nice AA to TV-out. also ps2 emulation isn't possible at our device, it's very powerfull for normal PC(we will have any chances only if we will have MIPS R5900 compatible cpu with freq 800Mhz at least with powerfull GPU and a lot of coders and moneys )
i have another problems with this games lol.... now io can run and use keycam for dashboard... mmm when start the base menù sometimes the words disappear and reappear .... mmm with auto frameskip and 900 mhz cpu freq. and 0 cycles lol... i try all cycles... nvm... if you want that rom i cant post it

Well, as a programmer, it *is* your problem to anticipate users doing something wrong, I pointed it out as a small bug that I imagined you had yet to encounter and would want to sort out.
For me i found it when i accidentally double clicked the game name, and then pressed start. Easily done.
I'm doing a lot in actionscript, and have to do the same thing, making things idiotproof..
as for the per game settings, yep i missed that, when i get an update notification i generally check the forums for people saying 'it doesn't work, my fone exploded!' messages, and if there are none then i install...
Another thing i thoughnt of is a default frameskip and mjultiplier in the settings, so unless you've changed the per game settings, those values will be whateveer you set in there...
