    'psx4all' indeed isn't an apt-get command.
You need to "apt-get install psx4all".

Secondly. Did your fetch of extras-devel succeeded? If you have low root partition space it usually fails and you do not see any packages from.

Sorry, my bad. It DOES recognize psx4all through apt-get install. I think my app manager is fuscked since apt-get upgrade finds a picodrive update while the app manager doesn't. Maybe I should reset my device or something. Oh well, false alarm

I don't have this problem. How did you map your keys?

I mapped arrow keys to E,C,F,S
    And square,triangle,circle and x set to J,K,M,Space.
Start and select to Enter and Right arrow.

Yes it is. AFAIK psx4iphone uses OpenGL ES backend for GPU and there is a non-functioning stub for glgpu in psx4all sources.

PCSX OpenGL GPU works great with texture aliasing and real alpha blending, so it is perfectly possible to write PSX GPU emulator using hardware acceleration.

It should be even simpler with OpenGL ES 2 of N900 - you may put a lot of effort to shaders code and put even more work directly on hardware.

    Care to write this backend?
My programming "skills" were one class each of BASIC, FORTRAN and PASCAL. PASCAL was my best graded class and that is not even a "real" / practical language. Kind of like Klingon

The very first time I installed and mapped, there was no problem. The issue started when I remapped. Now, if I map the left arrow key, it also acts as a second "start" key. This results in pausing the game when trying to move left. It is like left arrow is both "start" and "left" at the same time. Re-installs did not correct the issue.

When I do not map the left arrow key, this does not happen, but I like the arrow keys for direction (I am simple that way).

I have a keymapping problem too.

Sometimes, I have the same problem, that an direction key is mapped as menue-back.
Since I`ve deleted the config and set different keys for the volume up/down keys, it works correctly.

But a big mapping problem, I cant solve, is that the action buttons are not on the place, were they shold be. (for example X = O ; O = triangle)
But I can use it in emu and game menues. Ingame, some of the buttons don`t work.
I have a german qwertz hardware keyboard. Setting the region to english qwerty don`t work.
Same problem with messed button mapping with sixaxis controller.

Have you all your mapped keys on the place where they shold be ?
