ok, i was playing about with mame earlier on my pc, i have no controller (cant figure out how to use ps3 pad with pc)
a little light bulb flashed and i thought id try to use my ps3 controller thro the n900 to connect to the pc with the aid of blue maemo.
worked fine, nearly............
it only seems to accept one key at a time, which means no diagonals or firing while moving.
its a long shot i know, but any ideas if this could be sorted in anyway?

Don't know if I understood your setup, but the N900 doesn't have multithouch so is impossible to press two keys at the same time, however that can be done with the HW keyboard, but at the moment is not supported due to a bug in one of the libs that BlueMaemo uses.
I used to be a heavy Sixaxis on Pc user and I can assure you there is a way to do it. A year ago, and I'd bet it's still the same way, you had to dedicate a bluetooth device to syncing with the Sixaxis controller.
Since then I sold my Sixaxis controller and bought a wired Xbox360 controller because the setup was a simple plug and play, but I can still point you in the right direction if you still want to use the Ps3 controller.
thanks for that.
i played a bit tonight and have the pad wired straight to the pc now, if i try the wireless method i will need to change the BT address back and forth between pc and phone..... :0/
still be kinda cewl to do the way i was trying before tho! ;0)
any idea if the "multiple key stroke" bug thing will be addressed in next FW?
And the keys are sent via BlueMaemo to your pc ?
The multiple keys "bug" is in BlueMaemo, not in Maemo itself, I'll add it to my to-do list, since the code is already there(e.g. Accelerometer controller uses multiple keys), but not enabled since there's a bug in EFL, the UI library that I'm using.
